BRIEF
Produce a shared Design Language that unifies Royal Canin's global digital style.
Methodology / Approach
A Design Language is a shared design that helps eliminate ambiguity and the need to reinterpret a brand, allowing brands to deliver distinctive, consistent brand experiences, across all their digital properties, irrespective of device or technology.
Creating a common set of tools and resources, a Design Language enables brands move at pace and scale.
A UI audit of the existing digital properties and brand guide quickly highlighted inconsistencies and gave a foundation on which to base the design language.
Organising common and global elements such as the grid system, data input, calls to action, imagery, spacing and text styles facilitated the naming convention and the start of the documentation of the assets. This allowed library to grow organically and at pace as more complex and specialist assist were defined.
